About Bob:

I started as an Industrial Arts Teacher in the early ‘70’s. But strayed into manufacturing and ended up retiring as a Pressure Vessel Design Engineer. Always involved in woodworking I expanded my indulgence after retirement and now turns wood for enjoyment, that is when I am not exploring the countryside on my motorcycle.

Now specializing in open segment turning, I do bowls and vases from 12 to 96 segment per row, utilizing a variety of exotic woods including Wenge, Maple, Holly, Bloodwood, Yellowheart, Purpleheart, Cherry, Walnut and Chakte Viga.
